Decorative acoustic wall finishes use stretch-fabric, printed textile and bespoke-design systems to cover wide wall surfaces both visually and acoustically. Beyond standard panels they are preferred where projects require an uninterrupted wall surface, corporate visuals or a bespoke architectural concept.
What is decorative acoustic wall finish?
A decorative acoustic wall system covers wide and unbroken wall surfaces with an acoustic fill plus an outer finish, going beyond the size limits of standard acoustic panels. The build is a stretch-fabric system, digital-print membrane or bespoke woven acoustic fabric.
System types
1. Stretch fabric system
An aluminium frame is wall-mounted; absorbent fill (rock wool or felt) is placed inside, and an acoustically transparent fabric is stretched over the top. Delivers an uninterrupted wall look.
2. Digital-print membrane
Stretch fabric printed with corporate imagery, photography or artwork.
3. Bespoke woven acoustic fabric
For premium projects — bespoke pattern or weave acoustic fabric.
4. Acoustic drape
Suspended acoustic curtain — used for variable acoustics.
Where it is used
- Conference halls and auditoriums (wide walls)

Acoustic performance
The stretch-fabric system's acoustic performance depends on the rear fill:
- 50 mm rock-wool fill: NRC 0.80-0.90
- 100 mm fill: NRC 0.90-0.95
- Air gap improves low-frequency response
Certification
EN 13501-1 fire class for the fabric and EN ISO 354 NRC certificate for the acoustic fill. Greenguard is preferred for low VOC.
