What is a linear ceiling system?
A linear ceiling system uses parallel wood or metal slats as the suspended ceiling. Sound passes through the gaps between slats into the absorber behind, where it is dissipated. The system creates a dramatic architectural effect in large volumes and delivers high acoustic performance.
System types

Installation
Hanger points are determined; main carrier rails are installed at 1.0-1.2 m centres. Slat-carrier clips are fixed to the rails; slats clip into them at the desired spacing. 30-50 mm acoustic fill is added behind the slats. The slat spacing is sized around lighting fittings and air diffusers.
