What is a compressor enclosure?

A compressor enclosure is an acoustic housing built around a noisy compressor. Manufactured to site-specific measurements or from factory-standard modules. The inner face is absorbent; the outer face is steel or stainless. Cooling airflow and service access are central to the design.

Sandwich panel build-up

  • Outer skin: 1-2 mm galvanised / stainless / painted steel
  • Barrier layer (when needed): EPDM membrane 4-8 kg/m²
  • Absorber layer: mineral wool 80-120 kg/m³, 50-100 mm
  • Inner face: perforated steel — sound wave passes through
  • Total thickness: 50 / 75 / 100 / 150 mm
